Our Namibia Discovery Self-Drive (12 nights) offers first-time visitors an affordable, flexible introduction to the country’s most iconic landscapes. It showcases Namibia’s remarkable diversity.

Beginning in Windhoek, you’ll explore Etosha National Park for its spectacular wildlife, journey through the rugged beauty of Damaraland with its desert adapted wildlife such as rhino and elephant. Then you spend time on the coast in Swakopmund with time at leisure to enjoy some of the many activities on offer. Next you head to the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei before returning via the southern Kalahari Desert back to Windhoek.

Driving at your own pace, you’ll stay in a carefully chosen mix of mid-range lodges and guesthouses, with plenty of scope to add extensions such as further south to Luderitz and the dramatic Fish River Canyon. Or adding in a stop en route to Etosha to Okonjima Game Reserve.

This is a flexible, great-value way to discover Namibia’s landscapes, wildlife, and culture.

4 night Extension to Southern Namibia

Additionally, a 4-night extension allows for the exploration of the secluded allure of Luderitz and the stunning Fish River Canyon.

Visit Kolmanskop ghost town, Diaz point or take a boat cruise. Then head inland to the remarkable Fish River Canyon. Finally you head  north, visiting the surreal Quiver Tree forest to spend your last night at Kalahari Anib Lodge in the Kalahari (as per the 12-night itinerary). If you have time, we recommend a second night here if possible.

Good to Know

This can be tailored to suit you, adding nights or changing the accommodation to suit you. We can happily give you some suggested upgrade options.

• If you prefer, you can stay inland at Aus and visit Luderitz as a day excursion.  This will reduce a long travelling day.
