Overview
The Gourmet & Boutique South Africa tour focuses on enjoying both the fine wine and gourmet food that South Africa is famous for, as well as its superb game-viewing. You will be staying at smaller boutique lodges and enjoy African delicacies and wine-tasting.
Amongst other delights, you sample a Cape Malay morning cooking course, a foodie walk through Stellenbosch trying various South African delicacies, and wine-tasting in both the Stellenbosch and Franschook areas. You stay mostly in the Cape: in Cape Town, the Cape Winelands and then on the Garden Route. Then you continue to a Big Five safari at one of the loveliest boutique game lodges, Kichaka in the Lalibela Game Reserve.
Tailor-made options
If you have some more time, we strongly recommend adding a night or two in the Hermanus area, as there is so much to do and see. This is shown as a semi-guided tour but it can also be arranged as a self-drive tour if you prefer.
What does semi-guided mean?
Some of our tours are semi-guided. This essentially means that it is not guided by the same person from start to finish. You enjoy guided half and full day tours with different guides in the areas you visit.
