Khwai Private Reserve β’ Okavango Delta β’ Chobe River
Β Our seven-night Botswana Water & Widlife safari combines three of Botswana’s most rewarding wildlife areas, with a balance of land and water-based experiences.
Begin in the Khwai Private Reserve before continuing deeper into the Okavango Delta. Across the two camps, activities may include game drives, guided walks, boating and mokoro excursions, depending on seasonal water levels. The journey ends beside the Chobe River, an area renowned for its abundant wildlife and particularly impressive elephant sightings.
Afterwards we recommend combining it with Victoria Falls. Or perhaps enjoy a complete contrast with a few days in Cape Town and the Winelands?
This safari can be adapted with alternative camps to suit your preferred style and budget. The safari also combines beautifully with Victoria Falls, Cape Town or the Cape Winelands.
Another option combines Camp Moremi, Camp Okavango and either Savute Safari Lodge or Chobe Game Lodge. Savute can be included in place of the Chobe River, while Leroo La Tau on the Boteti River can also be added. Contact us for a tailor-made quote.

On arrival in Maun, you are met and transferred by light charter flight to the Khwai area. Arrive at Machaba Camp for your 2-night stay.
The Moremi Wildlife Reserve forms the eastern boundary of the Okavango Delta. This region is known for its predators, both of the mammal and feathered variety. Being a National Park, night drives and game walks are not permitted in the Moremi but the quality of the game-viewing on your game drives more than makes up for this.
Upgrade Option: Baines Camp (Or Stanleys Camp)
Today you are transferred by light aircraft to an Okavango water or seasonal water camp for 2 nights. The Okavango Delta is Africaβs largest and most beautiful oasis β an isolated, lush green paradise with some of the richest wildlife in the world. It is a maze of waterways, lagoons, vast grassy plains and palm-fringed and wooded islands and is home to a wide array of animals and birds. At Kiri Camp, game viewing is predominantly by motorboat, as well as game walks with an experienced and armed guide on the deltaβs islands. The evocative mokoro trips are in shallower waters, water levels permitting.

This morning, after a final game activity in the Okavango Delta, you are transferred by light charter flight to Kasane Airport where you are met and transferred to Ngoma Safari Lodge. Activities in the Chobe river area include game drives in open 4Γ4 vehicles in the Chobe National Park as well as romantic boat cruises down the river which doubles as another form of game-viewing.

Upgrade Option: Chobe Chilwero
Game-viewing in the Chobe National Park remains good throughout the year but of course peaks in Β the dry season when huge herds of up to 500 or more elephants congregate to drink from the Chobe river. Lion are common in the Chobe National Park, and almost expected, with buffalo, cheetah and an amazing variety of antelope often sighted. Typically you enjoy an open landrover game drive in the early morning returning to the lodge for a late brunch. The afternoon game activity is often a boat cruise on the Chobe river, when you can spot the animals coming to the river to quench their thirst as the sun sets.
After a final early morning safari activity followed by brunch, you return to Kasane Airport. From here, you can fly back to Maun or Johannesburg or continue to Victoria Falls.
