Safari Description

Your adventure begins in the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, a diverse wilderness of floodplains, lagoons and mopane woodland where game drives reveal elephants, big cats and abundant birdlife. From here you can travel deeper into Botswana to explore either the lush waterways of the Okavango Delta. Or you can opt for the dramatic desert-meets-river landscapes of the Makgadikgadi & Boteti river region. The safari concludes with either the wildlife-rich Chobe River area or the remote Savute Marsh, famed for its large elephant herds and thrilling predator sightings.

Throughout the safari, you stay in intimate safari lodges selected for their warm hospitality, attentive service and family-friendly atmosphere. Dedicated family hosts ensure that every member of the family feels welcomed and engaged, while specially designed activities introduce children to the wonders of the African bush: from animal tracking and bird identification to cultural exchanges with local communities.

Families rarely travel in identical configurations, so this safari can easily be adapted to suit your needs. Possible adjustments include:

• Adapting the pricing for families with fewer or more kids, or teenagers
• Adding extra nights at selected camps eg. Recommended at Leroo La Tau if you want to do the sleep-out
• Staying at Savute Safari Lodge instead of Chobe Game Lodge
• Including 2–3 nights in the Boteti River area
• Starting and ending the safari in Maun for a more cost-effective routing
