Over 13 nights, you’ll experience the energy of Cape Town, the intimacy of a private reserve safari in the Kruger’s Timbavati, the layered stories of Johannesburg, and the sheer theatre of Victoria Falls, all through thoughtfully chosen excursions that reveal how South Africa’s history continues to shape daily life. Overall it is an immensely enjoyable safari tour.

  • Choice of private tours; Either a Historical tour of the city, Constitution Hill, Soweto and the Apartheid Museum. Or a full day tour to the Cradle of Humankind including Sterkfontein Caves.
  • Fly to Victoria Falls for 2 nights, Ilala Lodge, Bed & Breakfast. (Optional Visit to the Boma restaurant.) Upgrade option is Palm River Hotel.
  • Enjoy the Victoria Falls followed by a Dusty Road township lunch and an afternoon Sunset Cruise

 

Safari Routing

Your journey begins with four nights in Cape Town, perfectly paced for discovery. Explore the city on foot, travel the spectacular Cape Peninsula, and spend time with the inspiring Uthando community projects. Head up Table Mountain by cable car, browse the V&A Waterfront, or wander the street stalls of Greenmarket Square. A delicious highlight is the Bites & Sites Foodie tour, complemented by time in the Cape Winelands, visiting historic towns and celebrated estates.

Next, fly to South Africa’s premier safari region for three nights in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, renowned for prolific wildlife and outstanding guiding. Then it’s on to Johannesburg for two nights; an essential stop for understanding the country’s past and present. Choose between a full-day exploration that can include Soweto, the Apartheid Museum, and city landmarks, or opt for the Cradle of Humankind (with the option to combine it with either the museum or Soweto).

The final chapter takes you to Victoria Falls for two nights. Take in the majesty of the Falls, enjoy a sunset cruise, and round off the experience with a vibrant evening at The Boma (optional), with time for additional (optional) activities as you wish including a township lunch.

 

Tailor This Safari

If you’d like a shorter version, Victoria Falls can be removed to create an 11-night itinerary. We’ll gladly rework the routing and timings and provide a tailored quote.

  • Touring in Cape Town is mostly private, with select specialist experiences on a scheduled basis (e.g. Uthando projects tour, Bites & Sites Foodie tour).
  • Safari in the Timbavati is fully inclusive of all meals, drinks, safari activities

The price excludes domestic and regional flights – as these are subject to change. These will be added at quote stage, but you should allow approx $750 to $800 for all 4 flights.

However if you opt against including Victoria Falls, the 2 domestic flights will be approx $350 to $400 per person.

INCLUDES

Meals as specified (Welcome Dinner, then B&B in Cape Town, Winelands, Johannesburg and Victoria Falls), Fully Inclusive on safari, private transfers and tours with all entrance fees included, conservation levies and park fees. Note the transfers and activities in Victoria Falls are on a scheduled basis.

EXCLUDES
