Overview
This is a more leisurely circular alternative to our Mellow Cape self-drive, as we have noticed a tendency towards longer stays in South Africa.
(Most of our tours tend to be 11 to 13 nights to suit the average 2-week holiday. But many of our clients are retired. And others have a generous holiday allowance. And the cost of the international flights means that you may as well stay a decent length of time when you get here!)
The Meandering Cape Explorer is a circular self-drive from Cape Town and travels through all the highlights of the Western Cape, as well as enjoys a two-centre safari experience in the Eastern Cape. Most of the drives are between 1½ and 3 hours, with only a couple of longer drives of between 3½ to 4 hours.
We have chosen some high quality, but good value properties, for our sample tour, as it is a 3-week trip. But you are welcome to substitute other accommodation. See Tailor-make this tour below.
