Overview

  • Remote location but on the edge of the renowned Busanga Plains
  • Ntemwa-Busanga is affordable but does not compromise on safari experience
  • Owner-run by Tyrone Mckeith and Phil Jeffery, two younger generation but very experienced guides
  • Operates from July to October

Ntemwa-Busanga Camp is an intimate seasonal 'fly camp' situated in the north west part of Kafue National Park in a remote area on the southern edge of the well known Busanga Plains. This is ideal if you are looking for an affordable authentic safari experience in the vast and wild Kafue National Park. Because of the open plains, the emphasis is on game drives.

This camp is run by Jeffrey & McKeith Safaris (Tyrone Mckeith and Phil Jeffery) and with their expert and professional guiding, rest assured that they will make the best of your time on safari so be ready for an exciting adventure!

The Camp

Ntemwa-Busanga is an improved version of their previous award-winning camp and it now offers more comfort, mostly evident in the accommodation. The 4 walk-in meru style tents with either twin or double beds now have their own open air ensuite bathroom with flushing toilet and bucket showers.

In the evening, gather at the boma on the main deck where you can share tales of your game-viewing highlights of the day while enjoying the views overlooking the expansive Busanga Plains.

Ntemwa-Busanga Activities

Take off on a safari walk with your professional guides or sit back on a boat cruise, taking in the scenic views and keeping a watchful eye for the wildlife in Kafue. Given the size of Busanga Plains, game drives are highly recommended as you travel further to cover more distance, maximising your game-viewing experience. The animals you might come across include leopard, wildebeest and roan antelope, not forgetting the diverse birdlife.
