Overview
Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve rests at the foot of the Sneeuberg Mountain Range in South Africa’s dynamic Karoo region. This is a place of sweeping panoramas and undulating escarpments, extraordinary plant and animal diversity and a deeply rooted cultural heritage – from its early Bushmen dwellers to its Dutch settlers. The reserve is home to white rhino, cape buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, mountain zebra, a host of antelope and an abundance of birds.
If remote R&R is what you need, then the on-site spa and the constantly evolving menu of wholesome, locally inspired, refined cuisine, will do wonders for body and soul. Accommodation is in three beautifully restored, gracious gabled manors, each with spacious gardens and swimming pools, and one with an additional secluded cottage. For those looking for something under canvas, two luxurious and privately located en-suite safari tents provide sweeping views over the reserve.
Mount Camdeboo is child-friendly as they allow kids of any age to join their game drives. However the lodge is remote so we dont really recommend it for families with young children, but more for adventurous families who like to explore off the beaten track.

Camdeboo Luxury Double Suite

Situated in a secluded part of Camdeboo Manor’s beautiful gardens, Peppertree offers a romantic setting for honeymooners or couples seeking privacy. The spacious cottage features a King-size bed, fireplace, luxurious en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and a private garden.
Hillside Manor
Resting slightly higher on the Sneeuberg Mountain slopes than its counterparts, Hillside Manor offers magnificent sweeping valley views. Slightly more “modern” than the other manors on the Reserve, this mountain retreat dates back to the early 1900s. Tastefully renovated, Hillside Manor is used to accommodate overflow from Camdeboo Manor when required. It is an ideal family option for group bookings with modern living spaces and three double en suite bedrooms. Available for exclusive use only.
Tented Camp
Two privately located canvas tents raised on wooden decks, situated overlooking a seasonal stream. Accessible by a wooden walkway, each tent comfortably sleeps two in a Queen-size bed, with en-suite bathroom featuring a shower and WC. The spacious deck with outdoor furniture offers sweeping views over the Milk River Valley and picturesque Sneeuberg Mountain Range, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the bush setting. The tents can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. Children 12 years and older welcome, max 2 guests per tent.
