The Last Word has 2 different styles of suites to choose from. The Pool suites has en suite bathroom, private pool and courtyard. There are only 2 suites available. The Super double rooms has en suite bathroom with a private patio and garden. There are 8 rooms available.
The Last Word Franschhoek is a stone’s throw away from a number of cultural and culinary attractions and restaurants with fine dining and gourmet cuisine. Franschhoek is also surrounded by a number of wine farms so guests find themselves in the heartland of the Cape Winelands. Wine-making landmarks is a short distance away in the neighbouring towns of Stellenbosch, Wellington, Paarl, Tulbagh.

Pool Suite
There are two Pool Suites available, both are 70m² including the bathroom. There is a separate shower, bath and toilet. A private plunge pool and courtyard are included as well as a separate lounge area and complimentary mini bar and snacks.
Superior Double Rooms
There are eight Superior Double Rooms available that are each 45m² in size. They feature complimentary mini bar drinks, snacks and a separate shower, bath and toilet.
The Last Word Franschhoek – review by Kate
The rooms at the Last Word Franschhoek are some of the largest and most well-appointed in the town of Franschhoek. These are quite classically decorated and so they would suit many people. Each has a dressing area, sizeable bathroom and either an outside terrace or balcony. Two of the rooms actually have their own small splash pool.
The main areas are spacious and well-furnished with a lounge, honesty bar and dining room. There's a small sun room which opens directly out onto the (small) swimming pool. And I do mean directly. Upstairs there is a sun deck with lovely views to the surrounding mountains.
My only concern is that it is a small property and they have used every inch of space that they have. I feel that the almost year round three nights for two make it an attractive option if staying three nights (Not available from late December to February.)
