After an overnight in Lilongwe, travel to Liwonde National Park for three nights at some of Malawi’s most cherished safari lodges: Mvuu Wilderness Lodge or Kuthengo Safari Camp. Expect scenic riverine landscapes, excellent game viewing, and a warm, authentic camp atmosphere. Continue by road to Cape Maclear region on the southern lakeshore.

Here you can choose between two styles of stay:

• Main option: three nights at Mvuu Lodge combined with a Superior Room at Makokola Retreat. A Lake Suite upgrade is available for added space and privacy.
• Upgrade option: three nights at Kuthengo Lodge paired with three nights at the beautifully positioned Pumulani Lodge.

Customise your safari by flying from Lilongwe to Liwonde National Park, upgraded rooms, or add on a contrasting area such as a fly-in safari to the Nyika Plateau. If you opt to fly from Lilongwe down to Liwonde, you may not need to stay overnight in Lilongwe at the start. The extra cost for the flight is approx $225-$250 per person extra.
