Botswana Safaris, luxury game lodges & safari camp reviews in the Okavango Delta, Chobe and Makgadikgadi

Botswana is one of the last pristine lands of Africa and offers its visitors beautiful scenery and prolific big game safaris in equal measure. Most people know of the Okavango Delta, yet Botswana conjures up so many memorable images for those lucky enough to visit: the shimmering heat rising from the vast white salt pans of the Makgadikgadi; the flight of a fish eagle as it glides over the waterways of the Okavango Delta; the majestic baobab trees rising out of the Kalahari grasslands; or the elephant family coming down to the Chobe River  to drink at dusk.

It would be easy to spend your entire safari in Botswana, as many of our clients do. Others add a few nights on safari in Botswana onto a South African or Namibian holiday. Botswana is never a cheap destination, but then it's never disappointing either; and a Botswana safari is fully inclusive of meals, activities, laundry and virtually all drinks, so there are no hidden extras.

However as Botswana safaris have grown in popularity, the proliferation of safari camps, especially in the Okavango Delta and Chobe, has made your safari choice of where to go even harder. The Botswana Wildlife and Safari page on this website aim to give you some decision criteria, but there's no real substitute for talking to us about your safari plans.

On Safari in Botswana
You can either travel from camp to camp by light safari aircraft or take a mobile safari. The vast majority of our clients opt for fly-in safaris as this gives you great flexibility. You can choose which areas you want to visit and for how long. Mobile safaris are a particularly evocative way of enjoying the delta and the desert of Botswana, and we go into more detail of what to expect in our Mobile Safaris section on the Reasons to Visit page.
