Overview
This enchanting Best of Southern Malawi Safari (12 nights) highlights the diversity and beauty of the country. The safari can be enjoyed in either direction. (Ideally, you would fly in or depart from Blantyre. There are weekly 2 flights on Saturdays and Wednesdays as the road transfer from Lilongwe to Majete is pretty long!)
You begin with 3 nights in the wild and experience Majete Wildlife Reserve. Then you head south to the lovely scenery of the Satemwe Tea plantations before heading north again to Kuthengo Lodge in the Liwonde National Park You end with a few days of relaxation at a luxurious lodge on Lake Malawi.
Tailor-made variations
This tour can be tailor-made to your specifications. For example, you can opt to fly on to the Nyika Plateau in northern Malawi if you wish.
You could also insert a couple of nights on the Zomba Plateau at the Ku Chawe Inn if you like walking and mountain scenery. This would be on Day 6 after Satemwe Tea Planation and before Liwonde National Park - to make it a 14 night itinerary.
