Shamwari Explorer Camp
Overview
During South Africa’s summer season Shamwari Explorer Camp at Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape offers a unique walking experience. This is ideal for guests looking for an adventurous and authentic option. Offering the ambience of a tented bush camp of old Safari lore. The camp is located on a plateau set amongst the only basalt and granite extrusions on Shamwari. A truly magical setting.
The camp sites at all our Explorer Camps are discreetly fenced for safety reasons but retains true explorer ambiance. Guests are still treated to panoramic views of the landscape. Tents are placed in fairly close proximity without encroaching on other tents privacy. Each tent is luxuriously furnished for comfort in the wilderness. Guests are provided with basic for a comfortably stay. There is en-suite bathroom facilities and an outdoor hand wash basin
There is also a classic portable bar with crystal glassware to enjoy the traditional gin and tonic on the viewing deck.
While all safety precautions have been followed when setting up these facilities. Wild animals are able to move through the camps at any time.
