Overview

In the middle of northern Namibia’s arid, captivating savannah, bordering the world-famous Etosha National Park, is Safarihoek Lodge. It's located on Etosha Heights Private Game Reserve and is part of a 60,000ha reserve which shares borders, for about 65km, with Etosha National Park.

With an array of animals which include various species of antelope, predators and birds. You can be assured their time spent at Safarihoek Lodge will make for an interesting and memorable safari.

Perched on top of a hill, overlooking the plains below, Safarihoek is a stylish sort of place, and you’ll find cool, thatched chalets all with private decks, a double-storey photography hide, and a swimming pool with 180-degree vistas of the brilliant savannah.

In the centre of camp, you’ll find a large lounge area, wine cellar, dining area, and a small curio shop all under thatch. On the chilly evenings of the dry season you’ll probably eat inside, watching the wild through the large glass windows, then in the warmer months, it’s all about the alfresco dining on the outdoor deck. There’s also a cosy outdoor seating area complete with roaring fire, and a perfect spot for keeping an eye on passing four-legged creatures. Drinks are served from the outdoor bar and can also be taken to the swimming pool, a cooling space with the same infinite views of the plains below.

Safarihoek Lodge is a quiet, peaceful and individualised lodge where you can:

  • admire the surreal, panoramic surroundings from Safarihoek's elevated positioning

Rooms

Luxury Family Unit

This 2 bedroom unit and a small lounge area separating the ensuite rooms. The main bedroom has 1 x double bed, with an ensuite bathroom and the second room has 2 x 3/4 beds with an ensuite. Max: 2 adults and 2 children. Children of all ages welcome

Luxury Rooms

Luxury rooms at Safarihoek Lodge are spacious, modern and refreshing. All rooms are en-suite with an inside and outside shower. These rooms also feature a small wooden verandah allowing guests to enjoy the wildlife interactions and stunning panoramic landscape from the comfort of their room. The twin rooms include 2 x 3/4 beds which can be converted into an extra length king sized bed. There is an air conditioner, fully stocked mini bar, electronic safe and a private ensuite bathroom with an additional outdoor shower, veranda

Classic Rooms

The standard rooms at Safarihoek Lodge are en-suite rooms with a lovely wooden verandah to enjoy a morning coffee as the sun rises over the Eastern horizon. These rooms are wheelchair friendly. The twin rooms include 2 x 3/4 beds which can be converted into an extra length King size bed. There is an air conditioner, fully stocked mini bar, electronic safe and a private ensuite bathroom with a shower.
