Overview

  • Luxury glass-walled suites with private plunge pool
  • Big Five game reserve in the beautiful Eastern Cape region
  • Dense valley bushveld favoured by elephants
  • Bush spa

Pumba Game Reserve comprises over 6,000 hectares and offers Big Five game-viewing from two luxury lodges, the family-friendly Pumba Water Lodge overlooking Lake Kariega and the stylish Pumba Msenge Bush Lodge, ideal for honeymooners.

Msenge Bush Lodge overlooks the grasslands with an attractive pool deck set away from the main lodge. The main lodge has been designed around a central circular courtyard which doubles as a protective camp fire area, protected from the cool winds in the winter months. Around the courtyard are the public areas - bar, dining area and sitting room and in turn that is surrounded by a wraparound deck enjoying the open bushveld vistas. Set aside is a small library or TV room.

The 11 thatched suites are very attractive being glass-walled in both the bedroom and bathroom (you can consequently enjoy a view from the bath). These lead out to a deck and private plunge pool. Pumba Msenge Bush Lodge is more suited to couples and has the added advantage of a good quality bush spa with well-equipped gym as well as an attractive boma for alfresco dining.
