Paradis Malahide Guesthouse has a lovely location on the shores of Lake Kivu, with a sandy beach in front – which is public.

Each comfortable bungalow was built using local wood and volcanic rock, to blend into the natural landscape. There are 10 rooms in total: six bungalows and four apartments in larger two-story bungalows. There’s a good chance you’ll wake to the songs of the fishermen and the birds.

The restaurant uses local ingredients and flavours to create some excellent cuisine. Popular favourites are grilled tilapia and isambaza from the lake. The garden is a super place to enjoy your meal, and there are several different areas to sit. If you prefer there’s an indoor restaurant, and they light the fire at night to make it more cosy. For a special treat you can elect to dine on a boat on Lake Kivu or on the nearby private island.

Paradis Malahide has a reputation for excellent & friendly service, so relax and enjoy a very pleasant break at Lake Kivu. Naturally occurring hot springs are only five minutes from the Paradis Malahide site.

Each bungalow is comfortable and was built using local wood and volcanic rock to blend seamlessly into the natural beauty of the area. A perfect night’s sleep awaits you as you fall asleep to the sounds of Lake Kivu floating into the shore. In the morning, you will be enchanted by the songs of the fishermen and birds.
