Other facilities include an open plan lounge and dining area with large fireplace which leads out to a wooden deck overlooking the plains. There's also a bar and wine cellar. The delicious cuisine is traditional South African bush cooking. Here you share stories and hospitality with other guests around the table.

Notten's Bush Camp welcomes children from 6 years and over and there is one family cottage, with two en suite bedrooms, and one triple room available for families. Access to Notten's is ideally from Skukuza Airport in the Kruger Park (with a short 20-30 minute transfer to the lodge) but you can also fly into Kruger International Airport (1½ to 2 hours drive away).

Amazing animals close up

"It really was the most wonderful experience – especially Nottens, we feel truly privileged to have seen so many amazing animals close up in the bush. This was our first trip to South Africa and we had no idea how stunningly beautiful your country is. "

Great family feel

"Loved the family feel & communal areas. They create a great atmosphere and we enjoyed dining with other guests. There was mixed opinion on the lack of electric lighting in the evening but it made the public areas beautiful lit up with paraffin lamps and candles! The all inclusive package was very generous and the staff could not have been more friendly. 2 of our group and another guest who shared our safari vehicle got sick from something we consumed which luckily was only a 24 hour thing but did mean we missed a drive and had a pretty ropey journey to Simbavati. Of course it’s variable but the game viewing was only average whilst we were there. "
