In the Inhambane Province of Mozambique, Massinga Beach Lodge lies above a stretch of endless, remarkably private beach overlooking the azure Indian Ocean.

Far from the madding crowd and offering barefoot luxury, Massinga Lodge is ideal for honeymooners, divers and families. And those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. But road transfers are available from Imhabane which has direct flight connections from Johannesburg.

There's a restaurant and a beach bar and pool nestled right at the edge of the warm sea. The nearby boulders that have been chiseled by the elements provide a unique feature and much-needed shade for secluded picnics.

Enjoy various beach games, kayaking, table tennis and a game of pool at the beach bar. Or enjoy snorkeling, rock-fishing and disc golf in the palm groves . In season (generally August to November), you can even view whales frolicking from your own deck. Later, the night sky lights up and you feel like reaching out to catch the falling stars.

Accommodation at Massinga Beach Lodge:

Comfort is a priority! The Ocean Front Deluxe rooms open onto an intimate deck and splash pool from which you can absorb the 180° incredible view of the coastline. The bathroom has direct access to the deck and has a freestanding bath, rain shower and separate toilet.  The Ocean View Junior Suites are designed with families in mind.

The Spacious Ocean View Chalets all have air conditioning, extra length king-bed and luxury linen. The bathroom has a freestanding bath, rain shower and separate toilet. There's also a lounge with a furnished deck and a 180° ocean view where you can relax after a fun day in the sun and ocean.

The lodge provides airport transfers whilst self-drive is also possible on a good paved road from Maputo to Massinga town where secure parking is provided. But please note that the last 10 kms is sandy and suitable for proper 4 x 4 vehicles only...
