Khulu Bush Camp provides an unparalleled sense of seclusion and remoteness in the heart of the African wilderness. It pays homage to Cedric Wilde, one of the Directors of the Amalinda Safari Collection, after whom the camp is named. Affectionately referred to as "Khulu," meaning "grandfather" in the local community, Cedric himself often joins guests around the campfire, sharing captivating stories and strumming old country tunes.
One of the camp's unique features is its harmonious blend of luxurious accommodation and traditional hospitality. Overlooking an ancient riverbed, known as a "vlei," Khulu Bush Camp offers a front-row seat to witness The Presidential herd of Elephants and the extraordinary diversity of wildlife and birdlife that thrives on the private concession.
Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool, view wildlife from the photography hide or relax by the two fireplaces and look out at the mesmerizing views of the watering hole. Indulge in the comfort of one of our nine rooms, including two luxurious suites, which have inside and outside showers and their own views of the watering hole.
Activities
Set out on a game drive at the break of dawn when animals are most active, whether venturing into the renowned Hwange National Park or exploring our expansive private 15,000-acre concession.
Evening drives set out just before golden hour, another time of day when animals are most active. Huge herds of elephants and buffalo can usually be found near the watering holes as the sun sets.
Alternatively, enjoy a walking safari with the expertise of professional resident guides, who will accompany you as you encounter many of the big five on foot. Observe elephants and buffalo up close in complete safety and gain a deeper understanding of the ecosystem as you walk amidst the wilderness.

Suites
Khulu Bush Camp comprises of 7 bespoke, thatched, safari style suites built onto platforms with both indoor and outdoor showers. The beds are twins but can all be converted to king sized for double occupancy. Hot water systems are heated by wood fire twice daily, in the morning at 6am and the evening at 6pm. However, water can be heated upon request outside of these times.
Luxury Suites
The honeymoon suites are elegant and contemporary with minimal impact to the surroundings and environment. Each suite has an indoor and outdoor shower, an outside roll top bath and a private balcony for game viewing with a swinging pod chair.
