Overview

Impodimo Game Lodge is an attractive 18-bedded lodge on the western side of the well-known malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve with easy access from the Wonderboom gate. It is set along a rocky ridge commanding stunning vistas of the Madikwe Game Reserve.

Carved from the hillside, Impodimo Lodge offers eight glass fronted luxury chalets. Which line a natural spring offering a riverine ambience and serenity. The lodge enjoys spectacular vistas extending as far as the eye can see. Laze on the pool deck with a chilled glass of wine. Or read a book in the library or in the comfort of your sala overlooking the waterhole. Perhaps let one of their spa therapists ease the stress out of your body with an in-room massage? On a winter safari, you can retire to the library with a cognac or stoke the fire in your suite, enjoy the clear night skies and stars before drifting away with vivid memories of close encounters with Africa's big game.

Milandi’s review of Impodimo Safari Lodge Madikwe

Impodimo was probably my favorite of all the safari lodge I visited in Madikwe. With its wild, true bush feel and spectacular views over Madikwe.

It has a brand new hide at their waterhole with an abundance of game. We enjoyed lots of animal activity in and around camp which I loved.

It is very family-friendly with a great kids programme. But I would say that it is not ideal for small kids as it’s unfenced. There are eight suites plus a two bedroomed family suite & a deluxe safari suite.

They had a great management team with a very enthusiastic manager, Jacques. They really went the extra mile with brunch, lunch and dinner at an old fig tree near lthe odge; specialized gin stops; bush spa and so on.

Pros: Great kids programme for older kids, Bush Spa, Spectacular views over reserve, Arm chair safari & lots of wildlife activity in camp. Plus attractive but not over the top rooms
