The Constance Belle Mare Plage is a five star family-friendly hotel on the Mauritius East Coast. It is set in 37 acres of lush tropical gardens along a 2km stretch of magnificent beach. The hotel blends traditional Mauritian design with modern styling. However, it is perhaps for its golf courses that it is best known - two 18 hole champion courses are laid out in tropical splendour close to the hotel.
ItĀ lies on one of the most beautiful beaches on Mauritius, Belle Mare. This beach borders a rich lagoon protected by a vibrant coral reef providing a safe arena for watersports with the option of snorkelling and diving nearby. Cool off in one of four swimming pools or head to the watersports centre if you wish to be more active.
TheĀ Belle Mare Plage has 235 rooms and suites with five styles of accommodation ranging from contemporary suites to ocean villas to family villas. However every room has a sitting area, satellite TV, air-conditioning, minibar, internet access, and safe as well as a balcony or terrace. The bathrooms have separate bath, walk-in shower and double basins.
The Prestige rooms of 45mĀ² are all beach-facing with views of the garden and pool as well and can accommodate one child. The contemporary sea-facing Junior Suites (68mĀ²) lie in the north wing of the resort and also feature an apple mac mini. The six Deluxe suites (96mĀ²) all have ocean views and a separate bedroom and sitting room. Families can take inter-connecting prestige rooms, junior suites or an inter-connecting deluxe & prestige room mix, depending on your needs. The super-luxurious Villas have two bedrooms, large living area, outside dining area and a private pool & shower within an individual walled garden.
The resortĀ is perhaps best known for its golf courses - two 18 hole Ā champion courses are laid out in tropical splendour close to the hotel. The hotelĀ offers complimentary green fees to hotel residents. These two courses at the Belle Mare Plage, The Legend & The Links, are a real challenge for professional and amateurs alike, and host a number of competitions including the Mauritius Open. The clubhouse includes a pro shop, golf clinic, restaurant and bar.
The leisure facilities Ā include four swimming pools, a kids club (for 4-11 yrs) with a games room, playroom and private pool as well as a full range of water sports. The Spa Shiseido and the Spa de Constance are havens of beauty and relaxation for the mind and body.
Seven restaurants and five bars serve the hotel and the golf club offering everything from a beachside vibe to a sophisticated cocktail ambience. The Citronelle is known for its varied cuisine with tropical and mediterranean buffets, grills and seafood. The Spiaggia offers Italian dishes in a more intimate setting. At the golf course the fine dining Deer Hunter restaurant offers a mix of European and Thai dishes with some Mauritian overtones whereas The Swing is a light lunch option. Indigo Beach and La Kaze are beachside restaurants: Indigo specialises in seafood lunches and is perfectly situated at the waterās edge offering gorgeous views of the lagoon where as La Kaze is a casual beach bar.
