Activities

Enjoy an excursion to the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens where you can learn the names of hundreds of exotic and indigenous plants, trees and spices growing in Mauritius, and where you can take memorable pictures of the giant water-lilies.

Have a local (rum) degustation at the Beau Plan Sugar Museum 15 minutes’ drive from Angsana Balaclava Mauritius. Through an interesting set-up of technology and local artistry, you will appreciate the rich history of Mauritius told through the vagaries of the first French settlers who came to Mauritius in 1735 and started to cultivate the land with sugar-cane which was to become the first source of economy for Mauritius for almost 3 centuries.

For the more sea-adventurous, try the “Walk under the sea” in an oxygenated helmet or an immersion into the under-water world with the Blue Safari sub-marine. Finish the day on a beautiful note by having lunch on a catamaran at Gunners Point, a deserted Robinson-Crusoe island, situated 2 hours on the Northern tip of the island.
