Overview

Between sky and sea nestled in one of the most beautiful bays of Madagascar, protected by a Lagoon and facing the Island of Nosy Ve, Ankao Ocean Lodge is a great place to relax at the end of a busy tour.

Beach and sea view bungalows are located at a maximum distance of 100 m from the beach and the restaurant.

The design favors natural ventilation and maintains a constant freshness and interior temperature. Those who wish, can always count on the individual air-conditioning system. Externally, each bungalow has a small private terrace ideal for relaxing moments. All the bungalows are particularly bright thanks to the large windows which, in addition to providing excellent interior lighting, offer a magnificent panoramic view.

The interior design is simple and clean, with rosewood finishes. A precious parquet floor, naturally smoothed with coconut shells (thanks to a typical Madagascar tradition that recalls a primitive dance) gives the room a warm and welcoming tone. The front part of the bungalow is in the continuation of the living room, with a comfortable sofa that can be converted into a third bed. A small hallway connects to the bathroom with shower.

Electricity at Anakao Ocean Lodge is provided by a generator from 5:30 to 15:00 and from 17:30 to 23:00.

Activities

This whole region is known for all wind-related water sports such as windsurfing, surfing and kite-surfing, from 10 am in the morning, the early part of the day being ideal for diving and canoeing.

Among the activities, daily excursions by boat or canoe are offered to the neighboring islands of coral origin: Nosy Ve and Nosy Satrana. These two small islands are located less than 10 minutes by motorboat are surrounded by white sand beaches and the waters are crystal clear. .At low tide, a shuttle provides the connection to the open sea of the bay for dives in larger funds. Diving equipment is provided by the lodge and during the winter months, when the water temperature is not to your liking, you will be provided with isothermal equipment provided by the club.
