Le Jardin du Roy

Set in extensive private grounds, Jardin du Roy lies close to the Isalo National Park and is is the sister hotel to Relais de la Reine. This charming small 3-star hotel makes a perfect base for exploring the many wonders of Isalo National Park.

Le Jardin du Roy is harmoniously integrated into its environment by incorporating traditional materials such as rosewood, marble and labradorite. The lodge has 40 rooms (16 doubles, 16 triples and 8 family rooms). This granite-walled rooms are arranged in houses around an attractive garden and large swimming pool. They are designed to blend into the natural surroundings.

Each is spacious and pleasantly decorated with wooden floors, air-conditioning, sitting area and en suite bathrooms with bath or shower. Outside there’s a private terrace or balcony where you can enjoy a drink and take in the breath-taking view of a vast wooded park and the gallery forest, where the small river of Soarano flows.  To one side there are 9 round bungalows, which are smaller than the main rooms, but still pretty. These have thatched roofs and stone walls.

Enjoy the restaurant where the hotel chef combines Malagasy and European cuisines in a carefully planned seasonal menu!

Activities at the hotel include horse riding, bird watching, hiking, swimming, tennis and petanque. The Jardin du Roy lies in the same estate as the Relais de la Reine and shares some of its facilities such as the equestrian centre and Brigitte’s spa. Here you can enjoy a selection of revitalising treatments, facials and massages.
