Tuskers Bush Camp Review

Tuskers Bush Camp is very neat, tidy, but rustic as well. I like how it is situated and how well the tents are spaced out. Lots of privacy and shade from the Mopane trees. They have 6 tents all en-suite with bucket showers and flush toilets. The water is very salty, so it is not drinkable. But drinking water is provided in a flask and in water bottles on request. The Bucket Shower is definitely not one of my favorites as the water is salty and it ran out within 2 minutes of turning on the shower. So you need to be ready to jump in and wash quickly!  The tents were fairly small (as this is a moderately priced camp), but have got shaded verandas. The tents are all solar powered so WiFi is available only in the lounge/dining area.

The staff are exceptional, very accommodating and always assisting. They always made me feel at home. They also escorted us at night and in the morning when it’s dark to and from our tents as the camp is not fenced and any animal can roam freely through the camp.

The food was delicious. It was well prepared and well-presented.

It wasn’t prime game viewing season but we saw lots of elephants and giraffes. A few hippos here and lots of beautiful birds. If you’re looking for that rustic feel and real outdoor experience, this would be the perfect camp for you!
