There’s quite an array of boat and yacht cruises to choose from, mostly departing from the V&A Waterfront. This is a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours on a warm summer’s day or even better, evening. The bay is rich with marine life. Whales, dolphins, penguins, seals, giant sunfish and a huge variety of pelagic bird life live and play just beyond the breakwater. You take a boat cruise out of the harbour and across Table Bay. You’ll enjoy stunning views of the Mother City and Table Mountain whilst being served South African cap classique (champagne). You can choose to take a daytime cruise or one of the very popular sunset cruises

Boats vary by company with a selection of traditional rigged schooners or more modern catamarans. Most cruises are 1½ to 2 hours long but there are longer trips around Robben Island in search of Penguins or down along the Atlantic coast to Camps Bay.

High Speed Jet Boat Adventure

This is something completely different. Enjoy a one hour adventurous ride on an eco-friendly jet boat which comfortably takes up to 10 passengers. Experience the marine life of Table Bay including Southern Right whales in season (July to November), sharks, dolphins and pelagic birds and head along the Atlantic to Clifton.
