In an uncertain world it’s important for travellers to know their holiday booking is safe – especially now that cheap travel websites abound. Cedarberg Africa has been fully licensed and financially bonded since 1995 so you can book with confidence.

We are also members of the Association of Independent Tour Operators, AITO. When travelling with us you benefit from the financial security and back-up of which AITO operators are proud. Established in 1976, stringent criteria are set for companies wishing to join AITO, which is why membership is recognised as an assurance of quality, specialist expertise and high standards. All AITO companies subscribe to the AITO Quality Charter and are governed by AITO’s independent dispute settlement service, which means you are in safe hands when you book with an AITO member.

Holidays including flights

The flight-inclusive air holiday packages shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 3748. This license scheme protects your holiday money, providing all components of the holiday are booked with an ATOL licensed tour operator. Interestingly, when you book flights direct with an airline and even if you also book car hire or a hotel on the same website, you have no such protection.

All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will still be protected, but via a different scheme!

If you arrange your own flights, your holiday money is still secure:

Book with Confidence. We are a fully bonded Member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and Code of Conduct and your money is protected. For non-flight holidays Cedarberg Travel Ltd, trading as Cedarberg Africa, has a bond with ABTA, the Travel Association, to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992. Our ABTA number is Y6051.

In the event of Cedarberg Travel’s insolvency, protection is provided for non-flight packages commencing in and returning to the UK and other non-flight packages excluding pre-arranged travel to and from your destination. Please note that packages booked outside the UK are only protected when purchased directly with Cedarberg, not via a travel agent.

In the above circumstances, if you have not yet travelled you may claim a refund, or if you have already travelled you may be able to continue your holiday or claim repatriation to the starting point of your non-flight package.
