Welgelegen Guest House is a stylish boutique lodge set in two pretty Victorian buildings, in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Gardens area of Cape Town city bowl - adjacent to trendy Kloof Street with its inviting bistros, restaurants and shops. Welgelegen is Dutch for 'well-placed' and this is an apt comment as the lodge lies at the foot of Table Mountain and is only five minutes drive from the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town city centre or the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay.
Welgelegen is perfect for those seeking stylish accommodation with a friendly ambience, but who don't need all the trappings of a five star hotel. Welgelegen Guest House combines both the charm of the Victorian era, with wooden floors and well-preserved architectural details, with an understated contemporary style. Bedrooms all have satellite, telephone, air-conditioning, TV, bar-fridge, tea/coffee tray and stylish modern bathrooms. The breakfast room and sitting area is chic and modern with African artefacts specially selected by the owner. There is a quiet courtyard garden with a small plunge pool, ideal for alfresco breakfasts.

Superior Rooms
Superior Rooms are our larger category, with King size beds. One room has a private courtyard with a small pond and a deckchair. All bathrooms have both shower and bath, heated towel rails and toiletries from the eco-friendly, 100% natural Healing Earth range. All rooms have high ceilings, and are light with individual decor have an armchair/s, phone, DSTV, bar fridge and desk.
Deluxe Rooms
Our Deluxe Rooms are our second category and are just a little smaller than our Superior rooms. They have either a King or Queen bed, a bathroom – with shower – and toiletries from the eco-friendly, 100% natural Healing Earth range. Each room has an armchair/s, phone, DSTV, bar fridge and desk.
Mini Deluxe Room
Our Mini-Deluxe is smaller (we prefer cozier!) than our other rooms at Welgelegen Boutique Hotel and without the balcony. It has a double bed and a shower only and toiletries from the eco-friendly, 100% natural Healing Earth range. But otherwise, it has all the amenities and charm of our Superior and Deluxe rooms.
