It offers boat trips, sunset cruises as well as delicious home cooked meals in their beach-side restaurant. The local staff are a huge part of Norman Carr Cottage. They'll serve your dinner, chat with you on the sunset cruise and throw fish for the eager fish eagles.

This lakeside retreat of the legendary Norman Carr, who pioneered walking safaris in the Luangwa valley, is a little piece of paradise! The emphasis is on quiet relaxation and good food. Plus nothing that may be a vexation to the spirit. Enjoy meals at the open beach-side deck. Whilst the ambience for the evening meal is created with warm candle light.

The lodge consists of 8 charming rooms. Six front executive suites facing the beach. With a two bedroom family cottage at the back. The rooms are fresh and airy with 4 poster king size beds, crisp white percale linen and simple hand-crafted African decor.

The abundant bird life wakes you every morning. The cries of the fish eagles are heard all day. Whilst the giant eagle owls guard the night. Protected from the south wind. and in a calm and gentle bay, Norman Carr Cottage is a home away from home.
