Nestled in the foothills of the famous Ngorongoro Highlands and framed by majestic mountain scenery, this luxury lodge is set amongst beautiful gardens and a working coffee farm. There are 20 rooms at Kitela Lodge. All have gorgeous views over the farm plantation and dramatic back drop of the Ngorongoro Crater forests.
Accommodation
The 20 ensuite rooms are in spacious cottage suites built in the style of an old colonial farm. They offer guests a relaxing, quiet atmosphere surrounded by beautiful gardens. The suites are in individual bungalows and all have beautiful views to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Two of the suites are interconnected, so these are ideal for families. Kitela Lodge also has rooms that can cater for 3 people.
Activities at Kitela Lodge
During the day, take a guided walk into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area or let the hosts take you on a tour of their farm. Guests also have the opportunity to learn more about the Masai with a guided culture walk around the small villages, visiting the brick makers and coffee farms. At the lodge, there is a heated pool and wellness centre if you feel like treating yourself to a professional massage.
