Constance Prince Maurice is the epitome of architectural sophistication and somewhat breaks the usual beach resort trend in Mauritius. The copious use of wood, stone and thatch gives Prince Maurice a unique charm and serene ambience. Architect Jean Marc Eynaud and designer David Edwards have created an energising space that is a treat to all the senses.

This stunning five star hotel lies in a secluded private corner of the east coast of Mauritius at Poste de Flacq, sheltered from prevailing winds. Explore the 150 acres of tropical gardens which overlook the turquoise lagoon with a choice of four white sandy beaches. Laze away an afternoon on the beach or at one of the two pools. Prince Maurice is also only a short drive from the two golf courses at its sister hotel.

Accommodation

There are 89 suites spread out throughout the estate either alongside the white beaches, in the lush gardens or standing majestically on stilts overlooking the natural lagoon.

76 Junior Suites (70m² in size) are a tranquil, refined blend of teak, granite and marble with massive wooden furniture unique to Le Prince Maurice. Eight of these are built on stilts over the natural lagoon; the others are on the beach or on in the gardens. 12 are family suites with a main bedroom and a second kids room with bunk beds. All air-conditioned suites have minibar, satellite TV, Apple Mac mini, wireless internet access, safe and telephone.

12 Villas (a massive 130m² in size) are set in free-standing thatched villas. These all have separate sitting room with dining area, CD and DVD player, adjacent shower room and loo, dressing room, outdoor bath and terrace with private heated pool. Nine have direct beach access while three are on stilts overlooking the lagoon.

The 350m² Princely Suite comprises two junior suites and one senior suite with two swimming pools. It’s located in a private part of the hotel grounds offering complete privacy and seclusion.

Facilities at  Prince Maurice

Indulge yourself with the well-known Sisley Spa as well as the Spa de Constance. Enjoy a treatment or make use of the Jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath and thermal swimming pool. The Constance Kids Club has a games room, dining room and private pool for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Residents at Prince Maurice can play at both the Legends and the Links golf courses (both 18 hole championship courses). There’s a complimentary shuttle service to the golf course every hour during the day.

Dining

Prince Maurice offers a variety of options at three restaurants and two bars: the main restaurant L’Archipel, the Asian Corner and the unique Le Barachois restaurant which floats on the lagoon and is reached by romantic pontoon walkway through the mangrove trees. The wine cellar offers 25,000 bottles from around the world.
