Overview

Overlooking the Thamalakane River in Maun, Botswana, Grays Eden introduces the first luxury boutique hotel experience to Maun. It offers the ideal pause to acclimatize, both before and after the rigor of safari.

Situated a mere 10-minutes from Maun Airport, Gray’s Eden overlooks from a high embankment, an idyllic stretch of the Thamalakane River.. Guests can enjoy comfortable and luxurious accommodation in five distinctive villas and seven charming cottages. The resident head chef crafts exquisite culinary delights, paired with superb wines, to enhance every visitor’s stay.

Featuring thatched high ceilings and tall archways, the hotel welcomes light and infuses a sense of tranquility and space. Modern, minimalist interiors with a light blue, white, and natural brown palette are accentuated by large, generous verandas overlooking grassy lawns dappled with shade from leadwood and raintrees.

The cuisine served from the Eden Kitchen is a highlight of the experience. Dishes are crafted using the finest local ingredients, showcasing both creativity and technique.

Accommodation at Gray's Eden

Choose between their villas and their cottages. The main ingredients of the five 81 m² thatch roof villas are light and space, with open and airy living areas, ceiling fans to keep you cool, an open fireplace to keep you cozy, and large covered verandas with breathtaking views. The bedrooms are luxuriously spacious and have soft, calming shades of blue and white – colors echoed in the bathroom tiles. A beautifully designed arched walk-in shower offers a spa-like experience, while huge rectangular mirrors over a separate double vanity draw in more light.

There are seven Fisherman’s Cottages, four with a riverfront view, and three garden cottages. The thatch roof cottages are cosy, yet perfectly petite versions of the villas, with high ceilings and a similarly elevated position commanding beautiful views
