KwaZulu Natal, South Africa

A world in one province

If South Africa is a world in one country, then KwaZulu Natal can lay claim to be "a world in one province", due to its tremendous variety of culture, landscapes and associated pleasures. It offers prime wildlife areas, pristine sandy beaches off the  warm Indian Ocean, cultural and historical interest and a diverse landscape including soaring mountains, rolling bushveld and lush forested wetlands. From game viewing in Hluhluwe to hiking in the Drakensberg Mountains; from relaxing on a warm Indian Ocean beach to touring the fascinating Battlefields; KwaZulu Natal has appeal for everyone.

We particularly encourage our visitors to visit during the autumn to spring months (April to October) when its sub-tropical climate is at its best with endless warm sunny days.  Some people focus exclusively on touring KwaZulu-Natal, others combine KwaZulu Natal with either the Greater Kruger Park to the north (perhaps visiting Swaziland en route) or add in Cape Town and the Winelands for a complete contrast of climate and scenery.

KwaZulu Natal is one of our favourite destinations and we know it very well having travelled there extensively so we can advise you on which lodges and areas will suit your interests best.
