This Victoria Falls & Chobe safari adventure is ideal for anyone who’s keen to have a taste of what Botswana has to offer, whilst visiting Victoria Falls.
The Victoria Falls has a dramatic scenic contrast and a sight not to be missed – the clouds of spray generated by this thunderous descent have resulted in a lush rain forest full of stunning wild flowers. Combining this with the Chobe National Park in Botswana (only a 1½ hours drive from Victoria Falls) – one of the greatest game reserves in Southern Africa – and you have the ultimate safari experience!
It begins with 2 nights in Zimbabwe at the Victoria Falls. Here you will get to enjoy the majesty of the Falls with a guided tour. As well as a sunset cruise. You then stay 2 nights at the ever-appealing Chobe National Park. Enjoying game drives into the park as well as game-viewing by boat on the Chobe River.

The Victoria Falls is a dramatic scenic contrast and a change of pace from the private game reserves. It is a sight not to be missed especially when the Zambezi river is in full flow. The Falls is on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Each country offers a different viewing perspective.
In the late afternoon you enjoy a sunset boat cruise. The boat meanders slowly upstream looking for game. Canapés are served on board and the bar is well stocked.
Ilala Lodge is a friendly boutique 4 star hotel bordering the Victoria Falls National Park so the Falls are an easy walk away. There are charming rooms set in spacious lawns with a pleasant pool, pool bar and good restaurant.
Red Carpet option – The Victoria Falls Safari Club or the Victoria Falls Hotel
This is an exclusive lodge overlooking a private waterhole. Watch the breathtaking African sunset from your private balcony, pool deck or restaurant. Please note that there will be a price increase if you choose the Red Carpet option.
This morning you have a guided tour of Victoria Falls. The Falls is a truly awe-inspiring experience – the sights, sounds and, smell of nature’s supreme force. No photograph can begin to depict the reality… and nothing prepares you for your first sight. This takes the form of a walk in the natural rain-forest with a knowledgeable and informative local guide. You’ll discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. Take a raincoat and something to protect your camera!
The rest of the day is at leisure.
We can book a range of optional tours for you, depending on your interests from helicopter ‘flight of angels’ to the adventurous treetop canopy tour, from languorous fishing trips to horse-riding. There is no shortage of things to do!
This morning you have a road transfer to Chobe.
Chobe is teeming with animals, with huge herds of elephant and migrating zebra and buffalo. The elephant population, estimated to be 30,000, is the largest concentration in Africa with herds of up to 500 elephant or more at the end of the dry season. Large prides of lions have learnt to hunt them which adds to the safari excitement.
Enjoy excellent morning and afternoon game drives into Chobe National Park with its own experienced guides as well as afternoon sunset cruises.
Upgrade Option – Ngoma Safari Lodge
The luxurious Ngoma Safari Lodge lies on the western border of Chobe with an epic setting, perched on a hillside with beautiful views over the Chobe River and its floodplains. All suites have separate living area and private plunge pool on the deck.
