South Luangwa Walking Safari with Bushcamp Co
7 Nights
₤ 3,974 (PPS)
Overview
This South Luangwa Walking Safari with Bushcamp Co in Zambia aims to offer the best of all worlds. It combines staying in one of the central lodges which focuses on game drives. Followed by the Bushcamps which focus more on walking safaris.
You arrive at Mfuwe Airport where you are met and transferred to Mfuwe Lodge for 1 night. From here you are transferred to Chamilandu Camp or Bilimungwe for 3 nights. Then onto Chindeni or Kapamba Camp for 3 nights before transferring back to Mfuwe. If you would like a more varied 'on the move' safari, you could also opt for having 2 nights at 3 different camps for the same price.
A South Luangwa walking safari combines well with all other areas of Zambia. Such as the Lower Zambezi National Park or Victoria Falls. The focus in the bush camps is on walking. Game drives are not always possible as there is one main guide at each camp. (If everyone wishes to do a game drive - for variety or because of high temperatures, it is possible. But if some want to walk and others want to drive, the walkers take precedence!) If you are not sure that you want to walk every day, or if you want to have a choice of game drives or walks, then this may not be the right safari for you. Different Camps at the start and end of the Safari Season
If you come at the start or end of the safari season you will stay at Bilimungwe and Kapamba Camp. These are the only Bushcamp Company camps which open in March and stay open later into December due to their sandy locations. (Meaning that they don’t get water-logged).
Note: We include ALL the park fees in our prices which amount to $800 for 7 nights (so make sure you are comparing apples with apples when looking at prices.)
Note on Seasons: The price for October is the same as June. The price for November & December is the same as April to May.
