Overview

This Cape, Bush & Beach family breakaway is a relaxing holiday mainly in sunny KwaZulu Natal which is ideal for an Easter break. We've added Cape Town on for 4 nights . But this is completely optional if you are aiming to get away for a shorter ''half-term'' school holiday.

You start off with 3 nights on safari at Phinda Mountain Lodge. Family-friendly Phinda Mountain Lodge even has a couple of inter-leading suites for slightly larger families. This is followed by 4 nights at Thonga Beach Lodge on the Maputaland coast with its white sandy beaches, lush tropical vegetation and diving/snorkelling opportunities. Inland you can enjoy sunrise canoeing on Lake Sibaya or relaxing sundowners on the lakeshore. Next you head back to Durban for a flight to Cape Town for the final 4 nights. (Note we have not included touring at this stage in Cape Town. Some families may like to take a rental car and other will prefer a private driver for touring.)

Extending your trip

Ask us for a tailor-made quote. You can also add 1 night on the coast near Durban with a full day of Go-as-you-please tour. Then you can visit the Natal Shark centre, Ushaka Marine World, or perhaps do the sky walk at the Durban Stadium? You could also head out to the Valley of 1000 Hills before being dropped at King Shaka airport in the late afternoon.

Our Pared Back option - substitutes Thanda Safari Lodge (in a family suite) for Phinda Mountain Lodge

Red Carpet - option assumes you stay an extra night and have some touring in Cape Town. Howevere it is an approx price as it depends on where you stay and what you do.
