It is a truly unique experience to be on a sailing cruise on a 50 foot luxury yacht through the Knysna Lagoon and then out of the Knysna Heads. Springtide Charters offers the ultimate Indian Ocean sailing experience in the Garden Route. They offer an opportunity to sail through the famous Knysna Heads on their Outeniqua yacht. You may be lucky enough to see dolphins and the Southern Right and Humpback whales out in the ocean (whale season is only from July to November).

Daily departures are from 34° South in the Knysna Quays. There are various sailing cruises to choose from. Options include a 1½ hour short sail with no catering, a 2½ hour lunch or sunset sail with a light lunch or canapes/drinks in the evening, and a 4 hour breakfast sail. All of these need a minimum of 4 people to confirm. Except for the most popular sunset yacht cruise which only needs two people for a confirmed trip.

Note: All ocean-going trips are always weather and conditions permitting. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgement call on these conditions, which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction, wind speed and sea swell. Therefore, going out through the Heads is never guaranteed.
