Tintswalo at Waterfall is set in a 200  ha equestrian and polo estate only 10 minutes north of  Sandton in Johannesburg. The hotel offers lovely views over the pristine polo fields and estate dams even to the distant Magaliesberg Mountains.

This five star hotel has been designed to emulate farmstyle living with thick, stone-clad walls, double volume spaces and heavy bolted timber roof trusses. Earthy tones, rough-cut wood, steel, and textured fabrics are combined with chic furnishing to provide a sophisticated touch.

Delicious meals are provided both in the Restaurant or outside on the terrace overlooking the polo fields. Downstairs there's a well-stocked wine cellar which doubles as a great venue for private dinners whilst upstairs there's a Hydro spa with several treatment rooms, steam room, sauna and vichy shower. Outside there's a walking trail around the estate and a fully-equipped gym at the nearby equestrian centre.

The 16 beautifully appointed rooms are spacious and glamorous. Earthy tones and dark wood furniture are combined against chic marble bathrooms with a large open shower and bath. All suites have air conditioning, under-floor heating, flat screen TV, minibar and extra length king size or twin beds.
