I really liked Kariega River Lodge (almost as much as Settlers Drift), mainly because of its stunning river setting and homely ambience. This is a place where you can kick off your shoes and really relax. I liked the fact that there are so many different places to curl up with a good book, away from other people.
Its also a great option for people who like to be active and on the go: with great fly-fishing right from the jetty, (they will even cook your fish for dinner if you want, or you can opt for catch and release) as well as canoeing and even beach visits to the golden sandy beaches of Kenton.
Its not an uber-smart lodge. If you want five star luxury and cutting edge interior design then this isn’t for you. But if you are not really into the modern contemporary style of many new game lodges, then Kariega River Lodge could be an ideal option
