The holiday was exceptionally good and we all enjoyed every moment, especially my son Stephen (10 years old). The fact that Stephen enjoyed it says a lot since he is a seasoned traveller (as are most expat kids) having been to almost 20 countries already in his lifetime. In addition he can be quite fussy e.g. his favourite hotel is the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai!
We returned with more than a thousand photos and wonderful memories of what Africa can offer at its best – I attach a few
Truly unforgettable was the first part with the Young Explorers team at the camp in Linyanti. Stephen really bonded with the team, especially with Paul whom he looked up to as a bigger brother. All of the staff were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to provide top service. We’ve even made a few new facebook friends. Specific compliments should go to the chef who managed to cope with just about any culinary challenge that Stephen could think of, including pizza and spaghetti bolognese, all made on a fire!
Shinde camp was a good way to relax after the intense first few days and we chose specifically not to participate in all of the game drives there, yet still enjoyed the fishing, sun downers and general laid back feeling in five star surrounds.
10 out of 10 for everything in Botswana including our first night, transfers by air/ road and accommodation
Thanks again, we hope to return someday (only problem is some many places, so little time!)
