Overview

Our sample South Africa Highlights tour is an ideal introduction to South Africa for those who don't wish to drive.

We use scheduled tours in each of the areas (with some optional private tours on offer on free days). However unlike a small group tour, we have included a proper 3 nights safari at a private game lodge in the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Unlike many group tours, we are not travelling at breakneck speed so that you have time to relax and enjoy the trip...

The tour begins in Johannesburg so that you can recover from jetlag. You have a choice of optional tours on offer for your free day. Next you fly right into the Kruger Park for 3 nights on safari. Enjoying open 4x4 game drives in the early morning and afternoon. After the exhilaration of your safari, you fly down to Cape Town by direct flight to experience this beautiful city. You enjoy tours of the city, Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula. There's also a day at leisure with some optional tours. On offer is a tour to the Winelands, the Whale Coast or Robben Island for example. Finally you enjoy a 4 night guided tour of the Garden Route seeing the sights of the Tsisikamma, Knysna and Little Karoo.

What does semi-guided tour mean?

This is not a fully guided small group tour as you don't have the same tour guide from start to finish nor do you travel with the same people for the whole period. Rather you enjoy scheduled tours using the local guides of each area. As these are scheduled tours, there will be other people on the tour. (But a group of not more than 8 people)

Departure is every Sunday starting in Johannesburg. (This is to fit into the set Garden Route departure). Contact us for dates
