Overview

This is part of our Offer series where we have identified and negotiates the best deals on offer in South Africa. With this offer you stay 10 nights but you only pay for 8.

This offer is now valid from March to mid December every year. We used to called it the South Africa in Spring Offer, but the South Africa in All but Late Summer Offer doesn't have the same ring.

This relaxing tour doesn’t involve any internal flights and is a series of pretty easy drives from place to place. You start in Cape Town for 3 nights exploring this unique half city, half mountain wonderland. You are staying out in the Constantia Winelands part of Cape Town so you get the best of both worlds. Then you head to the magnificent Whale Coast for 2 nights. Next you head inland to the beautiful Karoo area for a complete contrast where you enjoy a safari in the superb Sanbona Game Reserve, which has the Big Five as well as strong supporting cast of general wildlife. Finally you continue to the scenic Garden Route for 3 nights sight-seeing and relaxing.

The Whale Coast is known for its whale-watching especially from July to October, whilst Sanbona is awash with wild flowers and flowering renosterveld from August onwards.

Choose between a Self-Drive Tour and a Tour with Private Transfers

We have given two price points. The main one is a Self-drive tour (based on a Group C model, with upgrades available). Whilst the Red Carpet version uses private transfers. Note that if you opt for the transfer option, you may also wish to add a day or two of private touring in Cape Town? Contact us to add this to the quote. (The Paired back option gives an indication of the cost with slightly different room types at some of the hotels.)
