Winter Wonderland Offer

Self Drive South Africa - Chapmans Peak drive, self drive holidays

Winter Wonderland Offer – 12 nights for 8 nights!

Yes our sort of winter wonderland may be different from yours. You won’t have snow under foot. Or risk getting frostbite if you are out without a hat.

But South Africa does have a sort of winter season and it’s wonderful. The days are cooler and yes, there’s a chance of rain. But it is also the time when you can be active all day without dying of heat exhaustion. Or feeling like a grease ball from slathering on the sunblock too many times. Plus you can get into that top restaurant without needing to book 3 months ahead. And you won’t be sharing a wonderful view with a crowd of selfie-snappers.

Typically the days are a pleasant 17 to 22 C. Whilst at night you can enjoy a good bottle of red wine around an open fire-place. (It’s not just the Danes that do ‘hygge’ in the winter. We South Africans also love our open fires and candles…)

But here’s the kicker – As it is a quieter time, many of the hotels offer long stay specials, which can be as little as three nights. And we all know 3 nights is often the perfect stay. Two nights is just too short to get to know an area. And 3 nights means you can also do a spot of relaxing guilt-free at the same time.

So here’s our first winter offer which adds up to a magnetic 12 nights for the price of only 8!

We are offering this at two price points, Luxury and Premier and we’ve priced it assuming group C car rental. (But ask us for a price using private touring and transfers if you prefer.)

Winter Wonderland Offer at a Glance

3 nights Cape Town, B&B:
– Premier: The Three Boutique Hotel
– Luxury: V&A Hotel

3 nights Winelands, B&B:
– Premier: Oude Werf Hotel, Stellenbosch
– Luxury: Mont Rochelle, Franschhoek

3 nights Plettenberg Bay, B&B:
– Premier:, Hog Hollow Country Lodge, near Plettenberg
– Luxury: The Plettenberg Hotel

3 nights Eastern Cape Safari, Full Board & Game Activities:
– Premier: Lalibela Lentaba Lodge
– Luxury: Lalibela Kichaka Lodge

Check out our Interactive Itinerary below (red tab) showing the route below!

Tailor-made Variations

Obviously being a special, you are limited to the hotels that we have highlights. However feel free to add on extra nights if you prefer, perhaps in Hermanus on the Whale Coast or en route to Plettenberg Bay?

The price below shows with Group C car rental, but we can also give you a quote for doing it on a private transfer and touring basis, though this will be quite a bit more expensive.
