Fly from Maun to Kwando Cancession, Linyanti Swamps, 3 nights Kwando Lebala Camp, Fully Inclusive
On arrival in Maun, you are met and transferred by light aircraft to the Kwando Concession.
The Linyanti Swamps lie to the west of Chobe National Park, wilder than Chobe and also known for their large elephant herds. Huge African ebony and marula trees, favourite food for elephant, shade the rivers. This is big game country, with predators such as lion, cheetah, wild dog and hyena regularly sighted, as well as herds of impala, lechwe, kudu, zebra, giraffe, sable, roan, waterbuck and buffalo. The landscape is characterized by grassland vistas dotted with palm forest islands – all very picturesque and open. The Kwando concession is one of three private concessions in this area and offers a seasonal home to game migrating from the grasslands to the south, with the permanent water of the Kwando River drawing the animals during the dry season.
The scenery around the Kwando Lebala Camp is dominated by vast plains scattered with Ilala palms and wooded savanna. You get a powerful sense of being in the middle of nowhere here and the excellent game-viewing makes Lebala one of the finest wilderness camps in Africa.

Fly to Nxai Pan, Kalahari Desert, 3 nights Kwando Nxai Camp, Fully Inclusive
This morning, after a final game activity, you are transferred by light charter flight to Nxai Pan in the Kalahari Desert to spend 3 nights at Kwando Nxai Camp
The Nxai and Makgadikgadi Salt Pans are the legacy of a great lake, larger than Lake Victoria, which once covered most of Southern Botswana about two million years ago. Vast shallow white pans make up an extraordinary landscape – deceptively animated by mirages that shimmer and dance in the heat-blasted air. However when the rains come in summer the pans are transformed into shallow lakes and attract spectacular bird life including thousands of flamingos, pelicans and cranes – a majestic spectacle. No visit to Botswana can be said to be truly complete without experiencing the desert as well as the delta. This truly is a magical place away from all the cares of the world.
At Nxai Camp you gain a unique appreciation of the Kalahari. The summer rains attract the last surviving migration of wildebeest and zebra in Southern Africa to the surrounding sweet summer grasses. In the dry season they move to the east returning to the pans in the rainy season. In addition there are rare brown hyenas as well as springbok, gemsbok, red hartebeest and their attendant predators. Nxai Camp offer game drives in 4×4 vehicles, custom designed to suit this terrain.
If you prefer, you can change your final destination Kwando Tau Pan in the Kalahari Desert….
