Overview

The Marly is a new hotel right on the beachfront of Camps Bay in Cape Town, sister hotel to The Alphen in Constantia. Location counts for much in hospitality and locations don’t get much better than this if you enjoy being right on the beach, close to restaurants, bars and boutiques.

The Marly, with its refreshing, relaxed, beach ambience, is the perfect marriage of sophistication and contemporary elegance. This 11 suite, five-star boutique hotel has a choice of sea or mountain view rooms. It takes its name from Chateau de Marly, built in the 17th Century for the leisure activities of Louis XIV and his family – and like its namesake, it is devoted to enjoying the good things in life.

Accommodation

The luxury suites at The Marly are a five-star showpiece. Five have full-on sea views, six face the mountains with fairly open views. Mirrored contemporary en-suite bathrooms reflect the uninterrupted ocean and mountain views. All have jacuzzis, outdoor showers and large balconies.

Among the hotel facilities are a private pool-terrace bar and 24 hour room service. Downstairs is Umi Restaurant, a modern Japanese restaurant, offering tasty and healthy, in-house dining.
