Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge

$ 77 (Pps)

Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge is a friendly, charming thatched lodge amidst shady Tamboti trees on the eastern side of Etosha National Park. The main lodge is open sided with a bar and sitting area leading out to a stone deck and the swimming pool with wooden sun loungers. On most nights dinner is served under the starts and no meal will be complete if it didn't include a tour of the well stocked wine cellar. Here wines can be tasted and selected to compliment your meal. Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge also has an active waterhole and a rewarding bird hide.

Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge offers 11 thatched and well-appointed rooms located along the dry riverbed. There are four luxury Heritage Bungalows which are quite small but now have air-conditioning. For Families, the three spacious bush suites each have two bedrooms, one with an extra sleeper couch, sharing one bathroom. Three stylish and spacious explorer bungalows have been added which offer greater privacy and seclusion, each with en suite bathroom, air-conditioning and private patio. The Honeymoon suite is similar to these, with a private, secluded location. It also has a lovely double hammock in the trees and both an outdoor shower and bath.

All bungalows have a private terrace with seating, en-suite bathrooms with shower, document safe, air conditioning, ceiling fan and tea & coffee facilities plus large mosquito nets. For the winter months there are heating fans available. A 'bush minibar' (a small cool box with a selection of drinks) is brought to your room which is a nice touch.

Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge lies only 25 minutes from the Etosha gate and has access to Onguma Game Reserve as well as Fischer’s Pan. An appealing aspect is the unique opportunity to actually walk upon the Fisher salt pan as part of your sun downer game drive, as the pan lies partly in the Etosha National Park and partly on Etosha Aoba's own private reserve.

Onguma Etosha Aoba Lodge is offered on DBB basis but guided morning game drives into Etosha as well as sundowners drives and night drives on Onguma’s private reserve, a rhino research drive and bush walks are all on offer at an additional charge. Complimentary Wifi is available.
