52 De Wet
- Stunning ocean views from most rooms at 52 De Wet
- Spacious contemporary design
- Glamourous terraced setting in Bantry Bay
52 De Wet is a spectacular boutique guest lodge in Cape Town overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in one of the Cape’s most exclusive neighborhoods, Bantry Bay. It sits perched on the slopes of Signal Hill tucked in right under the beautiful Lion’s Head, which gives shelter from any wind.
The South Atlantic Ocean stretches further than the eye can see and is home to passing pods of dolphins and whales. Cape Town with its lively Waterfront is just along the coastline, a 15-minute drive down through Sea Point. So 52 De Wet is ideal for a Cape Town Holiday with the luxurious en-suite rooms furnished to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible.
52 De Wet is built in a contemporary design and comprises seven guest suites over four floors (so the lodge is not ideal for people who don’t enjoy stairs!). All the rooms are different in size but equal in their furnishings with complimentary wifi, flat screen TV, mini bar, electronic safe and air conditioning as standard. The well-balanced, modern rooms are easy on the senses and invite relaxation.
There are two standard rooms with king sized beds and en suite shower room. These are lovely rooms but have no views. There is a large room which is beautifully appointed with a glimpse of a sea view as well as two Deluxe rooms with balconies and full-on ocean views over Cape Town. On the bottom floor is a two bedroom suite with one ocean view room and one non-ocean view with its own sitting room, private balcony and plunge pool. This is ideal for a family as one bedroom has a much better view. Finally on the top floor is the Penthouse suite with walk-in dressing room, balcony with ocean views and sitting area.
Delicious food – and wine – is an integral part of the 52 De Wet, created from fresh, local, seasonal produce by Russell, the British Chef. Breakfast is included but during the day, optional tasty snacks can be ordered from a short menu, then a fine dining treat in the evening.
