The Royal Livingstone Hotel is an elegant 5 star hotel in an unrivalled setting overlooking the Victoria Falls. It is actually situated within the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park so that guests staying here have unlimited access to Victoria Falls which also lies within the park, less than five minutes walk away. The Royal Livingstone Hotel has a stunning setting on the Zambezi river. A splendid large wooden deck affords sweeping views of the falls, ideal for cocktails at sunset.

The overwhelming ambience at the Royal Livingstone is of colonial elegance with shaded verandas, cool lounges and pervading sense of space. Why not head back in time and enjoy the Royal Livingstone's traditional High Tea with all the trimmings?

The 173 luxurious rooms, with their hand-carved mahogany furniture, have an African feel with eastern overtones. They are all decorated in the earthy tones of the bush which is offset by crisp white linen. The en - suite bathrooms have both freestanding ball & claw bath and shower. All rooms have a balcony or patio with views of the mature acacia trees, lawns and Zambezi River.

The hotel has a superb restaurant which combines old-world formality with contemporary sophistication or you can opt for slightly more relaxed dining on the veranda where cool river breezes offer welcome relief from the African heat. Special dinners are offered for honeymooners. Breakfast and lunch are usually taken outside overlooking the manicured lawns and the Zambezi River. Other facilities at The Royal Livingstone include a large pool (which seems almost in the Zambezi) and pool bar. There are a range of excursions which can be booked by the hotel including sunset boat cruises, local Zambian village tours, game drives, helicopter flips and various adventure options.

Manicures and pedicures can be arranged in-room and massages can either be enjoyed outside with a view over the river, or in the privacy of your room. Though the Royal Livingstone accepts children, it doesn't encourage them as children over 2 years are accommodated in their own room (at full price).
