The River Club is situated on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, 18 kilometres upstream from the Victoria Falls. The camp has a distinct Edwardian/colonial flavour, with many pictures of the original homestead and a soft colonial décor. Here guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River in a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the madding crowds.

The River Club offers ten luxury thatched chalets which all overlook the Zambezi River and have en-suite facilities including a romantic bath with a view of the river and shower. The rooms are all completely open in the front giving guests the best possible views of the Zambezi (but concertina shutters are being added to allow the option of closing the room at night if you prefer). They have full electricity with ceiling fans to enhance the cooling river breezes. Public areas include a stylish rim flow pool overlooking the Zambezi and the homestead with its dining room, lounge (with an interesting library area) and covered veranda, all furnished in a relaxed colonial style. Dining is usually a communal affair and takes place on the terrace for most of the year, whilst lunch takes place on the lawn under the trees.

Guided trips to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls are a highlight of your stay whilst boating or canoeing provides a relaxed afternoon activity. Fishing and sundowners trips are also offered as are very popular visits to a local village which is supported by the River Club. The Zambezi National Park is located just across the river, and elephants can often be seen on the riverbank. A rich bird life is found in the area and hippos are regularly sighted (and heard) along the river's edge.

Children over the age of 8 years are welcome but families with children between 8 - 12 years must book and pay for the private use of a vehicle. There is a family chalet which has a double bed for parents and a separate alcove area with a second double bed for children.
