Day 1 : Depart Port Elizabeth for 3 nights Kwandwe Game Reserve, Fully Inclusive
You will be collected from Port Elizabeth airport by our representative and transferred to Kwandwe Game Reserve for a three night stay. The Kwandwe private Game Reserve stretches along 42 kilometres of the Great Fish River and each of the luxurious glass and thatch suites overlooks the riverbanks. The 15 800 hectare reserve is set on the edge of the former Karoo Basin where several of Africa's vegetation zones converge and biodiversity is therefore extremely rich. The Kwandwe landscape is dominated by valley bushveld on open plains and rolling hills, with succulent euphorbias, aloes and spekboom among the characteristic plants. Thousands of animals, including the Big Five have been reintroduced to roam the reserve. Great Fish River Lodge is stylishly furnished in Frontier Settler style, integrating local African culture with colonial settler history. 9 elegant thatched stone and glass suites feature floor-to-ceiling doors, elevated wooden decks and private plunge pools overlooking the river. Guest areas have a large fireplace with massive stone chimney, and a soaring thatched roof with imposing chandeliers. Sophisticated, glass-fronted sitting and dining areas boast expansive viewing decks with breathtaking river views. The new luxurious Ecca Lodge offers six spacious suites with funky and stylish comtemporary interiors combined with venerable old collectibles. Lounge at the pool or visit the interpretative centre. This lodge welcomes children with each suite able to accommodate two children sharing with adults. A special children's programme is operated.

Day 2 : On safari at Kwandwe
You generally take your game drive immediately after early morning tea and coffee, as the animals rise early to hunt in the cool of the day. The two to three hour drive finishes in time for a late breakfast, which will be keenly appreciated after your early morning start! After breakfast, you can go on an optional guided walk into the bush with a ranger, or you can simply relax around the lodge during the heat of the day. A late afternoon game drive will introduce you to some of the nocturnal animals and their predators before enjoying at atmospheric dinner back at the lodge.

Day 4 : Return to Port Elizabeth
After a last game activity and breakfast, you are returned to the Port Elizabeth airport in time for your onward travel arrangements.
